“The Desire Map Summary”
Without the emotional pull for achieving something, the world would have suffered from stagnation. The key is to maintain balance, and not be at the mercy of never-ending desire sensations.
Danielle LaPorte doesn’t insult any of you when she explains what a desire means. Although we are aware of its power, we neglect their rise to power and existential appearance.
To cut a long story short, desire has the capacity to put words into action. It is sort of the basis for such endeavor that you mustn’t take for granted. Referred as the power of wanting, we expand on this a little more.
The bottom line is, if you take creativity to illustrate a powerful engine for getting you from point A to point B, you are close to reaching the final destination. If that’s something you tend to explore, let’s roll!
If you are secretly devising a plan or plotting a success-ending campaign, you’ll need all the help you can get. Desire is never the final result since, from the very beginning, it gives us the edge to thrive on challenges that you intend to overcome.
However, just like anything else, plans are not always straightforward, because not everyone can endure during the culmination phase. At that point, you may feel like your life is drifting off course, and something needs to be done, quickly.
For instance, if you are hungry and a desire for food emerges, you mind subtly creates a case for finding a source of nutrients. If it doesn’t go according to plan, you’ll get angry, and that’s the price of desires.
A pack of wolves, sharing a collective mindset – meat hunters, they have the same desire – so what happens next? The same thing occurs in team sports; several individuals share a collective awareness to handle the passion that just arose. It represents the cause of action.
Is that the spark you desperately waited for, or you’re troubled by it? No one will ever know except you! In all honesty, you cannot eradicate “The Desire Map” nor should you become fully dependent on it.
Keeping your hopes alive, is the toughest step in the sequence. In general, we all have got burned from our expectations, but that doesn’t mean to stop trying. Even reproduction would become impossible without sexual desire, and such circumstances will bring us to the verge of existence as humans.
Don’t become the master of distraction, don’t run away from the problem. Such unproductive behavior is caused by various elements able to trigger suffering and other useless feelings.
Employers who promote individuality and trust their associates and employees can theoretically be counted at one’s fingers. Ignoring the call for help from your heart is like not going to the hospital after being severely wounded.
Such emotional bloodshed is a worst-case scenario for dream-seekers. In the following example, Danielle LaPorte explains her viewpoints more openly:
Imagine you are working for a top-notch company, and recently you’ve been given promotion and a salary increase. However, deep down inside, you observe the hatred towards the job, but the money is good, so you continue doing it.
The logical aspect of one’s mind is too compelling to outmatch the heart. In fact, the price you pay for such job is far greater than the gain. Think about it; you are a robot, a corporate slave, don’t underestimate yourself for higher income.
What are you trying to achieve? Earn more money or be happy? Be concrete! The goal of life is drawn to this last conclusion, and whatsoever arises out if it! Free yourself from competing, and improve your inner state of being, by openly confronting hypocrisy.
People can also come across a situation where their desires don’t match, and they are forced to choose between them. In such tricky circumstances, one must make up a list of all the good things that emerge from each one of them. Once you’ve done that, you can take your pick.
For instance, you cannot aspire to live in a remote wilderness, absent technology and yet hope for professional success. Sounds very reasonable, doesn’t it?
